Sap Basis Administrator

This position is in the SAP Basis support team. The SAP Basis team is responsible for the planning, configuration and ongoing support of the missioncritical SAP systems. Members of the team work closely with members of the Operating Systems team, the Database Administration team, and with our customers to assure 24x7 system availability.
The Sap basis administrator supports multiple production SAP instances and related applications of complex nature with little support or assistance. May be involved with support of Enterprisewide, missioncritical applications. Will be involved with the planning, installation, implementation and configuration of SAP Basis and related components. Will be responsible for creation of procedures to support 247 availability requirements
Will be required to participate in 247 on call support of SAP Basis and/or boltons. Performs troubleshooting of intermediate to complex problems with unknown causes and recommends actions. May participate in the analysis and design function for new and existing systems, writing of proposals and pricing of projects.
Works closely with the operating system and database administrative personnel to ensure space requirements, backup procedures and performance needs are being met. May participate in the design or revision of technical standards, data standards and integration with other applications and components. May have responsibility for several complex components of a complex project. May also provide direction for projects of a complex nature
Plan, test and implement application patches. May be responsible for coordination of a maintenance project across functional areas and departments. Responsible to monitor and analyze performance, capacity and throughput of critical applications or middleware components.
